The 58th All India Prakash Chandra Ghosh Memorial Bengali Drama Competition organized by Bengali Club & Youngmen’s Association, Lucknow was successfully staged from 21st December 2024 to 11th January 2025. The Result declaration and prize distribution was held on 12 January 2025.

This is the only Full Length Bengali drama competition organized pan- India since decades, in which top theater groups from Delhi, Kolkata, 24 Parganas in West Bengal etc. have performed.

This year, ‘Naihati Rangsena’ of 24 Parganas West Bengal won the best performance, best director and best actress awards respectively for its presentation ‘Meghamala’.

In the same sequence, the team of Kalipur Acting Lovers, Kolkata received the second best performance as well as third best director award.

Rachna Banerjee received the third best actress award for her performance in the the play Dena Paona written by Late Sharat Chandra Chattopadhyay. ‘Dakshinayan Natya Sanstha’ of New Delhi for their play Khar Kuto and the theatre organization of Delhi, Room Theatre, for their play Teener Talwar, received the third and fourth place respectively.

The list of invitees included the Bengali Club's President Arun Kumar Banerjee, Vice President Mrs. Enakshi Sinha, General Secretary Shankar Bhowmick, Treasurer Deb Bhattacharya, Asstt. General Secretary Trisha Sinha, Kaushik Bose, Tapan Samantho , Nirmoy Mitra , Sinchita Biswas, Chandrani Mukherjee and Cultural Secretary Manoj Kumar Banerjee, Judges Prof. Mukul Bandhopadhay (Kolkata) , Indrajeet Mitra & Prabir Dey ( Both Lucknow) all of whom were present on stage. Amit Kumar Ghosh, grandson of Late Prakash Chandra Ghosh, in whose memory this event was organized, was also present on stage for the award ceremony and felicitation. On this occasion, the Club's President Arun Kumar Banerjee felicitated Mr. Devbrata Chatterjee ( Bhoja da) by giving him the Gunijan Sambardhana . General Secretary Shankar Bhowmick humbly extended his gratitude and credited the spectators for the grand success of the entire competition.
